1. Employees and board members (and their immediate family members) of Community Action Napa Valley (CAN-V), Balzac Communications and Marketing, competition sponsors and competition judges may not compete in the contest.

  2. Entries must be original. Any entry deemed by the judges to be identical or substantially similar to any other entry or to an existing wine label will be disqualified.

  3. Labels not in current production for use must meet TTB guidelines (or government guidelines in country of origin) and can be entered ONLY in category 5 of the competition.

  4. No teams or groups may submit entries; only individuals may enter the competition.

  5. Artwork must conform to nominal decency guidelines. Any image deemed to contain content that depicts violence, racial, political, religious, sexual or other inflammatory material in an inappropriate manner may be disqualified and removed.

  6. No late entries will be accepted. The International Wine Label Design Competition will not be held responsible for late entries for any reason whatsoever. It is the sole responsibility of the contest entrant to make reasonable allowance for upload and delivery time and plan accordingly.

  7. Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  8. By entering artwork in the competition, the entrant warrants that he or she is the sole copyright holder, or that he or she has obtained the rights sufficient for the purpose of the competition.

  9. The entrant grants The International Wine Label Design Competition and its sponsors rights to use all entered materials in any media for sales, marketing, fundraising and merchandising material provided full and correct credit for the artist clearly appears with said materials.

  10. Winning entrants must agree to be available to participate in interviews about themselves and their work.

  11. Other than the rights assigned in the preceding clauses, entrants retain copyright of all entered materials and are free to use said materials for personal promotions.

  12. The International Wine Label Design Competition reserves the right to publish more information about the competition, explaining the content and purpose of the event. The International Wine Label Design Competition also reserves the right to amend any of the above items and sections of the site during the competition (e.g. description of the contest and prizes, sponsors, biography of judges, etc.).

  13. The International Wine Label Design Competition reserves the right to cancel or extend the contest at any time for any reason, without notice or prior warning.
